If you are a parent with multiple children, then there is no better convenience for you than a double stroller. Why do I say this? They accommodate both of your children so one of them doesn’t have to walk. With many of these types of strollers to choose from, which one do you choose? Well, you are about to find out that the Sit and Stand Double Stroller from Baby Trend should be high on your list.
When I start talking (or thinking) about this specific stroller, the first thing that comes to my mind is how versatile it is. Specifically, when it comes to how your children can be seated in it. You can put two infant car seats inside, one infant car seat and one regular car seat, two regular seats, and also one seat with the traditional Sit N Stand rear seat. With the Sit N Stand feature, you can have one child actually stand up on the rear platform. This is perfect for your older child, while your younger child can sit in the stroller. This will give each of your children options on how they would like to ride.
I have researched a few other strollers that have had a better seating capacity than the Sit and Stand Double Stroller, but it will still accommodate for a handful of children. It’s recommended for your child not to be older than 2.5 years and weigh more than 40 pounds. As long as your child meets both of those qualifications, you should be alright. Anything past that and you are taking a risk.
In my humble opinion, there may not be a more important feature to a stroller than its storage capacity. Sure, you could say safety or performance (and I wouldn’t argue) but these types of rides need to be easy to store. Thankfully, Baby Trend more than accomplished this. I am not pulling your leg when I tell you that you can collapse this stroller with one hand. It’s designed that way and creates an extremely convenient feature. Other strollers allow you to collapse them down, but not many do it as well as this. Without a doubt, over time you will appreciate this feature more and more.
I think it’s safe to say that you want your kids to be as safe as possible at all times. Overall, the design of this stroller makes it safe for your toddlers. Both of the seats include an adjustable 5-point harness. So, you can strap both of your children in at whatever setting you think will suffice. Also, both of the seats have a canopy on top. What this does (specifically on sunny days) is protect them from getting overheated from the sun. It’s a minor safety feature, but a well thought out one.
Most of what I have talked about is why this stroller is great for your kids. However, now it’s time for me to inform you of why it’s great for you. On the stroller, you will find a covered parent organizer. When uncovered, you will find cup holders. Inside, you can hold your snacks, drinks, keys, accessories, phone, and any other handled items you can think of. With that being said, there is also room for your bigger items. Under the seat, there is a large storage basket that will hold everything you need for your day’s activities. As an additional bonus for your kids, there are also removable snack trays that they can use for all of their goodies.
It’s a Little Heavy
If you are anything like me (for whatever reason) you take more joy in informing people of the negatives rather than the positives. Maybe it’s because I like warning people! Anyway, if there is one bad aspect to this double stroller it’s the weight. While not incredibly bulky at 40 pounds, it’s heavy enough to where moving it can be a hassle. If you are pushing it over rocks, terrains, or up hills you are going to struggle a little bit. This is also escalated when you consider the weight of your children and all of the items on board. Overall, though, if you are strolling over steady cement, then it should be fine.
There are so many features that I love about the Sit and Stand Double Stroller from Baby Trend: the different ways that your children can sit (or stand), the included safety mechanisms, the one hand fold-up storage capability, and the cup holders and storage basket. The weight and movability can be an issue, but they don’t stop me from highly recommending this specific stroller. If you live in an area that has a lot of rockiness, then you may want to look elsewhere. For everybody else, though, I can’t think of many strollers that are better.
